The idea (︎︎︎) Traditionally produced by women on the Pacific coast of Colombia. Viche was Invented by formerly enslaved people. This cane sugar liquor, was long banned, a sort of Colombian moonshine. Last year, Viche was granted status as a cultural heritage product, and Colombians beyond the Pacific start embracing Viche as a cultural emblem of the entire country.

As Mexico has tequila, Peru has pisco, Scotland has whisky, we have Viche and the aim, is to ultimately go global. For Olvido Brand, it was very important to respect the tradition behind every bottle and of those who brought Viche to this moment. The imagery was develop to honor a drink that represents the only income for many Afro families in the Pacific region of Colombia, but also a drink charged with spiritual, female, and cultural powers. That when mixed with medicinal herbs, it carries centuries of botanical wisdom, a drink that can be used as protection, cure for venoms or as a body & soul cleanser.
