The idea (︎︎︎) "There isn’t any lemon" could easily be the most difficult phrase to hear when you have a hot empanada in your hand. (How can there be no lemon!?) From rice to chocolate, and everything in between, we love to mix things up, why bother eat one without the other?. These are the food combinations, that for us -Colombians-, should never be missing, those are our instant matchs.

In this project, we aim to explore the concept of Engallar, which commonly refers to embodying the idea of presenting oneself in a stylish and refined manner. In traditional Colombian cuisine, dishes like bandeja paisa or ajiaco are often "engallados" with a variety of vibrant toppings and garnishes.
The 2-slots packaging was industrial solution developed to provide consumers with a convenient and enjoyable easy snacking experience. We decided to especulate what would have happened if that eating concept was created in Colombia and which dishes would be enhanced with a little something extra.

The Editorial Add-On
_Common slangs/phrases we use to ask for food mix-ins.
The table, in all its simplicity, holds immense creative potential. It is my role as an editorial designer to transform this space into 6 visually captivating stages using the food as compositive element.

The editorial take over of the table.
The table does more than just showcase the food, the table offers a space to design an engaging visual narrative. As editorial design is not just about aesthetics but about storytelling, this project uses the table as an awaiting space for the placement of a story about Colombian Culture.
